I value quality over quantity. I would rather have one true friend than hundreds of fake ones. And the same is true in when it comes to a relationship. The concept of love and sex has grown shallow and weak. People live in this narcissistic bubble and never experience the feelings that come with a deep emotional connection. Love is not a word, or some action, it is a state of being. Dating is no more a ritual of lies and deceit, putting on a perceived version of yourself forward to be viewed and later destroyed by the emptiness that follows. This is what our world has become. I do not have to date someone to know they subscribe to this philosophy, it is in their personality, their arrogance.

I am writing a book. Usually I stick to short story fiction, but I am giving this a go. This plot has been nagging at me for years, though recently the ideas have been popping in my head sporadically. I like the idea, I even have main points plotted out in my head, just writing them down seems to be work better in theory than practice. I was at 16k words when my computer started to be annoying. I am in my admin user profile running disk checks to hopefully get those issues resolved. And yes I have this backed up on a flash drive.

There is a new trend where potential employers are now asking for your Facebook user name and password during the interview process. Their view is to find out more about the person they are hiring by looking at their hidden post and information. What they fail to realize that by doing so the person has proven themselves a security risk and has no problems breaking company policy.
Facebook TOS states you are to never give out your username or password.
Registration and Account Security
8. You will not share your password, (or in the case of developers, your secret key), let anyone else access your account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account
What will stop these same people from selling your companies passwords or pins? You already proven that you are not bothered by internet security, privacy, and it is ok to break rules if it serves a purpose.
There is already a term out there for a person trying to get your user name and password it is called Phishing, this is a form of SCAM. If a company involves themselves in this sort of behavior then one has to question its legitimacy and reasons behind wanting of this personal information and its uses.

What you say on facebook can be used against you, even if you didn’t directly threaten or insult someone. Venting frustrations on facebook can get you in trouble as Mark Byronfrom Ohio learned, no matter if the person you are complaining about can see your post or not.
In Minnesota Amanda Tatro’s Facebook posts from 2009 referencing her mortuary science lab had landed her in trouble with the University and resulted in her grade going from a C+ to an F. her Statues included sarcasm and venting of a more morbid nature. Such as “stab a certain someone in the throat with a trocar” and having a “death list”
Time recently published an article from the Journal of Applied Social Psychology on how your facebook profile can predict your job performance. So it seems that facebook is viewed with more scrutiny then people imagine. Though it does lend a certain refreshing light that one day someone might miss an awesome opportunity because they chose to start some random drama on facebook and a company choose not to associate with a drama queen. Karma in the digital age might prove to be a bit more gratifying.

I don’t want to pick a side
I need to analyze and decide
Stand on the dividing line
Take a moment take the time
To think, to rationalize
What the facts are, and why
When you yell and scream
I hear a great deal of nothing
Your point escapes me
I feel stress and misery
Nothing lost nor is it gained
Except my sanity is strained
Patience slowly I loose my grasp
The world spins, and all goes black
Running on instinct and a volatile mind
Is all I am till my consciences I find

SOPA isn’t dead, it’s just on hold. Forbes contributor John Gaudiosi writes: Both SOPA and Protect IP attempt to combat online piracy by preventing American search engines like Google and Yahoo from directing users to sites distributing stolen content. Both bills also would enable …
Wednesday’s mass protest strike of popular websites including Wikipedia, Reddit, Boing Boing and others against the Stop Online Piracy Act has had its intended effect–at least on one Senator. Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who co-sponsored the Protect-IP Act (PIPA) that served as the Senate equivalen…
Lest we thought that SOPA was dead and buried, a couple of further developments today have shown that hope is premature. Bill sponsor Lamar Smith is moving
Armchair activists now have a tool that can transport their SOPA protestations into the real world: Boycott SOPA, an Android app that scans barcodes and tells you whether an object’s manufacturer/publisher is a supporter of the much maligneStop Online Piracy Act.
